RPG, Anyone?

Ok, so for months, I've been threatening to host one or two table-top RPG campaigns. Well...now I'm back So here's the question...are you interested? And if so, what would you be interested in playing?

The options are as follows: Dungeons and Dragons, Legend of the Five Rings and/or Star Wars.

          I have spent a lot of time in the last 10 years RPing online, in both traditional ways and non-traditional ways.

          In my experience, online table-top loses very little of the overall experience, and in a couple of ways even makes it better. You might consider trying a bit before you turn up your nose at it....:giggle:

          yeah, same here. I tried once, but my friends had to like make the entire character for me. they also forced me to be a wookie (it was star wars DnD) so I spent the whole game dry humping a bartender's leg....then i ripped it off.

          :giggle: It's really not as much as it seems. If you have someone with even a little experience to help walk you through the process of creating a character, then it's easy. And after that, it's even easier. I started when I was 7, so there's no reason that you can't learn. None.

            Well I'll admit that I'm somewhat curious. I'm just not quite sure I can be there during all of the play slots, and I'm worried about making a fool of myself/being something worthy of a bad_rpers_suck post on LiveJournal. I haven't really done any role playing in a long time and my experience of it was more of a group writing session than anything. I suppose it'd be good practice for fleshing out characters and stuff for my own work. :/

    Oh my god. I haven't played L5R in a shit-ton of time... Well the card game at least. I found some old cards from one of my decks (I had like, 8) last week. Oh man...

    As far as table-topping goes. I'm down for an online campaign. I'd prefer D&D and SW to the L5R RPG though, I played the L5R CCG too long to really think that the RPG is anything else other than a blatant and stupid copy of D&D.

    Now if only they had an L5R Online, much like they have with Magic... Oh god that would be awesome.
